Wheelie Bin Issues

2025-11-27  •  No comments  •  JamesMacLaren  •  Paisley North

Investigate the reasons why wheelie bins are left out on the pavement all week.  This could be due to issues of storage or the difficult route the bins need to take to get from the storage area to the street each week.  If it is a difficult route then how can this be made easier?  This could be by adding ramps for the wheels on steps, or adding a new path and gate in a wall leading to the street thus avoiding steps.

Bin Area Slabs for MacDowall Street

2025-11-12  •  No comments  •  renjv25861  •  Johnstone & Villages

We constantly have to pull our bins through the grass in the back garden each week. This churns up the grass and also drags mud through our close. Can we please have a slabbed path leading to a designated bin area on each side of the garden to store the wheelie bins.

13-31 Glen Street, Paisley - Bin Area

Create a bin area which can be used by the residents here - look at the possibility of changing the bin system and using part of the land to create a designated space for this.

I have lived in 7 macdowall street for 13 years and not once has the close been painted or properly cleaned apart from me doing my bit the close looks very untidy and univiting old paint coming off the walls spider webs about the close would be really nice to see a bit of investment being made to clean up our home close area so we aren't embarrassed to have people over plus its very dirty looking and stinks. Tried to add pictures and vidi6but wouldn't let me

Slabbed bin area at Hamilton Court

2025-11-20  •  No comments  •  rho2510  •  Housing Officer  •  Paisley South

Create a slabbed area for the recycle bins which is accessible to residents but away from the buildings for fire safety. Slabbed area would have surrounding fence to contain bins.  Bins are currently located in parking bays which can be freed up and used by the residents.

Paint external buildings

2025-11-21  •  No comments  •  rho2513  •  Housing Officer  •  Paisley North

I would like to request that the buildings not included in the current regeneration programme be painted so they visually align with the newly regenerated buildings, starting with number 2 violet street.

Improving their appearance will help the area look more cleaner, more cohesive and well cared for. At the moment these unpainted buildings will stand out and look run down, which will affect the overall look and perception of the neighbourhood.

11-21 William st Johnstone Bin sheds

2025-12-05  •  No comments  •  rho2523  •  Housing Officer  •  Johnstone & Villages

11-21 William st have concrete bin sheds in all rear gardens. These are unsightly and attract a lot of flytipping/rubbish as tenants tend to leave bins out front. If concrete bin sheds could be removed and slabbed areas to contain bins this would be more presentable for the area.
