Remove Hedges at the front of the properties and add slabbings and fencing where required to provide bin areas for each of the buildings. Wheelie bins can then be properly stored in the bin areas.

Car Park Spaces Maximisation - Arkleston

2025-12-16  •  No comments  •  Cllr Jim Paterson  •  Cllr Ward 2  •  Renfrew & Gallowhill

Residents in the Arkleston Estate have raised ongoing concerns about parking pressures within Housing Department–owned car parks. Many of these car parks are currently unlined, leading to inefficient use of space, blocked access, and avoidable neighbour disputes.

This project would fund the lining and marking of parking bays across identified Housing-owned car parks in Arkleston. The aim is to maximise the number of usable spaces, improve safety and access, and make parking fairer and clearer for residents.

This is a one-off improvement that would deliver a long-term benefit to tenants without creating ongoing costs.

Bin Area for 18 Achray Drive, Foxbar

2025-11-28  •  No comments  •  rho252  •  Housing Officer  •  Paisley South

18 Achray Drive currently have wheelie bins (6x grey, 6x blue, 6x green) which are kept at the side of the building. 16 Achray Drive have an allocated bin area with bulk waste bins. This is a much better practice and the bins are better kept at 16. If we could recreate this for 18 it would take the bins away from the building and tidy up the bin area. This would require slabbing part of the grass area at the front and moving the existing metal fencing.

Flower Beds

Remove the weeds and litter and replant existing flower beds, particularly the raised beds, and maintain them throughout the year.  Going forward, if maintenance is a burden, set up a local group of volunteers who would be willing to maintain the flower beds, in a similar vein to TUTCU.

Bin Area for Ferguslie Walk, Paisley

2025-12-19  •  No comments  •  rho2519  •  Housing Officer  •  Paisley North

Remove Wheelie Bins which are kept in the street for properties at 3 Ferguslie Main Road, 16 Ferguslie Walk and 18 Ferguslie Walk. Replace with bulk grey bin as well as bulk blue recycling and bulk green recycling bins which are kept on the road outside 16 Feguslie Walk. These will be accessible for all residents and will remove the wheelie bins and alleviate contamination of wheelie bins in this street. This will also help to remove the additional wheelie bins being stored at the back of 20 Feguslie Walk, allowing them to keep their own bins in the bin area at the rear of the property.

Provost close is a multi story building in the centre. The tenants have no gardens etc  Improving the front entrance area with some planters would be nice for the tenants in summer. Building has a lot of elderly tenants.

Repair garden and install boundary fence between 17 and 19 Fulbar Road

2025-12-18  •  No comments  •  rho2510  •  Housing Officer  •  Paisley South

This land has had a shed removed and left it untidy with debris and no boundary fence. I would propose to clear the dangerous debris from the area and clear the land and lay new turf. Install a new boundary fence between 17 and 19 Fulbar Road from the existing hedge to the rear of the garden. This will include removing part of the fencing for access and reinstating upon completion.
