2025-12-05  •  No comments  •  rho2523  •  Housing Officer  •  Johnstone & Villages

Campbell st playpark in Johnstone centre is in need of freshening up. The metal fence which surrounds it needs repaired and painted. The playpark itself needs updating also. Repair damaged fencing, rub down, prime and repaint the boundary fencing to the play park.                   Remove bushes which are growing through fence on Campbell st side.

Bin Area for Dimity Street

2025-11-14  •  No comments  •  renjv25714  •  Johnstone & Villages

The block at 8-20 Dimity Street needs somewhere better to keep their bins. They stay on the street and can end up contaminated with passers by dumping rubbish in them. Can there be a slabbed area or bin shelters created here to take the bins off the street?

23-31 High st Johnstone Close maintenance

2025-12-05  •  No comments  •  rho2523  •  Housing Officer  •  Johnstone & Villages

23-31 High st are a block of flats each building containing 6 flats. above the shops in need of attention/improvement . If all closes could be cleaned and painted internally this would enhance the appearance for tenants. Could I also ask for a metal gate to be placed at each entrance to the stairwells, opening outward, with a secure entry of sorts e.g. door-entry system or a simple but robust lock

5,11, 15 & 17 Macdowall Street, Johnstone - Clean and paint closes

2025-12-18  •  No comments  •  rho2528  •  Housing Officer  •  Johnstone & Villages

Closes are dirty with paint flaking from the walls and cobwebs in the every corner. An overall clean and fresh paint of the closes here would make a massive improvement to these buildings.

5, 11, 15 & 17 Macdowall Street, Johnstone.

Additional Parking Spaces at Park Rd

2025-12-17  •  No comments  •  rho2525  •  Housing Officer  •  Johnstone & Villages

This green space (which is housing land) could be turned into a car parking spaces. People have been dangerously parking on the corner of Park Rd/Craigston Road and it is impacting visibility for motorists and causing a danger to pedestrians. It would also save the council financially in maintaining the green space. There have been numerous enquiries from residents about this over the years.

Provost close front area

Provost Close area

Provost close is a multi story building in the centre. The tenants have no gardens etc  An area with seating bench and planters would be nice for the tenants in summer. Building has a lot of elderly tenants.
