RYV Band Night

RYV Band Night is a youth-led live music event created by young people for young people in Renfrewshire. The project provides an opportunity for under 18 to access live music in a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment while also giving young musicians a platform to perform. Following the success of previous events, which attracted over 140 attendees in 2024 and 175 attendees in 2025, the project aims to continue providing accessible music and social opportunities that help young people connect, build confidence and be part of their local community.

Positive About Youth Awards will celebrate young people across Renfrewshire, recognising achievements in STEM, activism, creativity, sport, volunteering, environmental action and personal resilience. Young people help design the categories, shape the nomination process and sit on the judging panel, ensuring the awards reflect what matters to them. By publicly celebrating diverse success stories from each Local Partnership area, the project promotes confidence, challenges negative stereotypes and strengthens community pride. The event and its promotion will showcase youth voice, highlight local role models and inspire more young people to get involved in positive activities and leadership.
