Description
Think Globally, Act Locally is your chance to take the lead, speak up and shape real change in Renfrewshire. You choose the issues that matter to you - climate, fair trade, migration, overconsumption, fast fashion, etc - and turn them into action. Plan events, run a campaign, learn outdoor and gardening skills during outings and MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD. This isn't a school project. It's your project, your ideas, your impact. Taking part in this project can also count toward Duke of Edinburgh Award. It takes place one day a week after school in St Andrews Secondary School

Summary of Project
We have discussed this with young people in schools during our school visits/talks. We have working knowledge of the Gleniffer area and notice a correlation between a lack of meaningful activities for young people and a rise in anti-social behaviour issues in the community. In recent months, we have also noticed a display of more anti migrant and racist sympathies. This, in our opinion, makes this the right time and place to work on global citizenship issues to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to be the change that they want to be.
