Flower Beds

2025-11-27  •  No comments  •  JamesMacLaren  •  Paisley North

Remove the weeds and litter and replant existing flower beds, particularly the raised beds, and maintain them throughout the year.  Going forward, if maintenance is a burden, set up a local group of volunteers who would be willing to maintain the flower beds, in a similar vein to TUTCU.

Campbell st playpark in Johnstone centre is in need of freshening up. The metal fence which surrounds it needs repaired and painted. The playpark itself needs updating also. Repair damaged fencing, rub down, prime and repaint the boundary fencing to the play park.                   Remove bushes which are growing through fence on Campbell st side.

Repair garden and install boundary fence between 17 and 19 Fulbar Road

2025-12-18  •  No comments  •  rho2510  •  Housing Officer  •  Paisley South

This land has had a shed removed and left it untidy with debris and no boundary fence.  I would propose to clear the dangerous debris from the area and look at a solution to clearing the area.

Turn over the land and seed to grow back new grass.

Clear the land and lay new turf.

Clear the land and slab the area.

All options to be considered.

Also, install boundary fence between 17 and 19 Fulbar Road from the existing hedge to the rear of the garden.

Proposed design for Art Installation Display Case

Our Bridge of Weir Art Installation

2025-11-10  •  No comments  •  renjv252008  •  Johnstone & Villages

It is hoped that we could have a notice board that would be used to display artwork from the local primary school children. These would be changed each year so the notice board would be locked and opened each year to change the displays. This could be made from recycled plastic or marine ply.

DISPLAY AREA of notice board would be Width 90cm x Height 70cm.  Once installed the notice board would not exceed 180cm in height.

The Display Case would be Dark Green in colour to reflect it's surroundings, as on a grass area with trees directly opposite.

The image shown is to show a possible design for the display case, but not preferred colour.

Car Park Spaces Maximisation - Arkleston

2025-12-16  •  No comments  •  Cllr Jim Paterson  •  Cllr Ward 2  •  Renfrew & Gallowhill

Residents in the Arkleston Estate have raised ongoing concerns about parking pressures within Housing Department–owned car parks. Many of these car parks are currently unlined, leading to inefficient use of space, blocked access, and avoidable neighbour disputes.

This project would fund the lining and marking of parking bays across identified Housing-owned car parks in Arkleston. The aim is to maximise the number of usable spaces, improve safety and access, and make parking fairer and clearer for residents.

This is a one-off improvement that would deliver a long-term benefit to tenants without creating ongoing costs.

Grippers within the closes & stairs - Kirklandneuk Road

2025-12-15  •  No comments  •  rho2534  •  Housing Officer  •  Renfrew & Gallowhill

When the weather turns cold as well as wet the inside of majority tenement closes within Kirklandneuk become very wet and slippery due to condensation etc. Looking for some sort of grippers to be put down on the stairs within all closes to prevent any potential accidents or falls as it is a risk to current tenants and owners. Requests have been submitted to repairs department but they have advised they will not do this.
